DFO has issued a fishery notice announcing changes to the trap staking application process. The fishery notice is available at the link below:

The fishery notice notes that 2014 Requests for Re-Allocation of Trap Limits forms for the Prawn and Shrimp By Trap Fishery 2014 will be accepted March 17, 2014 – May 1, 2014.
The fishery notice also states after May 1, 2014 there is no guarantee your reallocation request can be processed.
The fishery notes also advises that trap reallocations must be submitted prior to licence issuance (i.e.: before you pay the $320 licence renewal fee in the online licencing system) and this applies to both the vessel allocating the traps and the vessel receiving the reallocated traps.
